A-Z Advice To My younger self

I’ve seen these types of post before, and it’s usually advice in general but I wanted to give a little advice to my younger self or anyone reading this who is going through what I went through as a teenager / younger adult.

A – Apologize when you’re wrong or misspeak. It’s not always easy and sometimes you really won’t think you have something to apologize for. If it’s a few days later, don’t be afraid to admit that you were wrong and that you’re sorry.

B – Believe in yourself. You are going to do amazing things and you can do it. I know, it’s so damn hard and it doesn’t seem possible but everything is possible if you try. Believe in yourself and let your mind run wild with dreams and goals. If you don’t believe in yourself, then no one else can.

C – Call them. Pick up your phone and call that friend you haven’t from in awhile. Pick up the phone and call someone just to say “hi”. They won’t always call you, so do it.

D – Delete the people from your life that don’t make you happy. Delete them from social media, their contact, their text messages. It’s okay to not what to have someone in your life.

E – Except the unexcepted.

F – Friendships are hard to keep as y’all get older. There are going to be the friends that you’ll keep forever but there are some that won’t be around for a lifetime. People grow up, you change, your life changes and one day, without even realizing it, you aren’t friends anymore. It’s life.

G – Give more then you take. But don’t let someone take advantage of that kindness.

H – Hug your loved ones, you never know when it may be the last time. Heaven isn’t close, and it hurts when you don’t know it’s the last time.

I – Intelligence isn’t always the key, you can be smart in so many other ways other than books.

J – Joke around, laugh loudly, be yourself and don’t let someone tell you who you aren’t.

K – Kill them with kindness.

L – Love yourself proudly. Let yourself find happiness in the love that you feel for yourself and don’t be afraid to say it. You have to love yourself.

M – Money is stressful. Either you have to much or you have to little. Learn to live in the moment and be okay with where you are financial. Even if that place isn’t good.

O – Open yourself up to the possibility of life not being what you planned. Allow change to happen and roll with the punches.

P – Plants are never going to be your thing, it’s okay.

Q – Quit excepting everyone else to do the most. Quit excepting everyone else to be there for you. Do it for yourself, and be there for yourself.

R – Rain will come and go, so will those emotions that your feeling at this moment. Don’t act on the feelings that you are feeling right now. Sit down, take a breath, have a glass of wine, sleep for eight hours and then if you still feel that way, act on it. Chances are you probably won’t feel the same way you did because you’ve had the chance to take a breath and think it through. It’ll be okay.

S – Sunshine is the best medicine, but please wear sunscreen. You burn girl.

T – Time isn’t going to stop, you can’t get the time you spent mad back. But you can make the most of every moment you have.

U – Unquie isn’t a bad thing, it’s a good thing. Be unique and be proud of that.

V – Volume is great in your hair, in music, in the ac but not in your attitude.

W – Wash it out in the wash, your problems, your troubles, your heartake, your worries. Everything comes out in the wash.

X – Words that start with X are mostly drugs, so… DON’T DO DRUGS.

Y – Young love is love, it’s real and it matters. But it’s also not always going to last, it’s okay to walk away, even if only for long enough for y’all to grow up.

Z – Zack Hart, I love you. ❤

A-Z Advice To My Younger Self

September Goals

It’s clear that I need to set some goals and I need to make myself stick to them. With that being said, this is my goal setting mind setting goals that are really high and maybe not achievable. So, here’s to setting goals and hopefully meeting them.

  1.  Work on getting in a better routine.  For any of you that have ever worked the schedule of 3 12 hour shifts, then you probably will understand what I mean when I say, I have no real routine anymore. So right now, I work 3 days of 12-hour shifts, with 4 days off after that. Usually, my routine goes something like, Monday I’m trying to recover from extreme tiredness. Tuesday I’m getting up and doing things. Wednesday, I’m a little more active and then Thursday, I just want to be a couch potato. I’ve been saying it for a while, but I would really like to get back to using my days more effectively. I mean damn, I have 4 days off, I literally could take a mini-vacay every single week. I don’t, mostly because the budget would just scream. But the point is, I need to get back to a routine that I can do every single day.
  2. Read at least 1 book. Y’all I used to read like 6 – 8 books every month. Seriously, I was a book person, but between the new job and life, I can’t honestly tell you what I last read a book, at least not all the way. It’s something that I love and miss so much.
  3. Get to packing. I’m spilling the beans, we’re moving! So we aren’t moving till late October, and honestly, I probably shouldn’t be packing quite yet but I’m also an over-doer person. I won’t lie, I probably won’t do much packing till closer to the beginning of October but I want to make this a goal so I can remember to get boxes and tap, and let my organizing self go to town!
  4. Get ahead on blog post. Obviously, if you’re reading this post then you’ve read my most recent post, and if not here you go Hi Again….. So I want to get ahead because I know that, that is the best way to keep a blog going. Life happens, and I’m the first one to know exactly how that works. So having a post scheduled to go out, helps so much. Of course, there are post that are random and just happen but it’s always better to have a stockpile of blog post that you can have up if needed. Learn from my experience.
  5. Make a new playlist. I have this playlist that I made for fall like, two years ago. And I still listen to it, but it’s time for me to sit down and get some new music flowing. I really enjoy making playlist and so I honestly put so much effort into it. So, if you want to listen to my previous Fall playlist click here > Soothing Fall

Those are my goals for September! There aren’t many but honestly, it’s not always about the amount but about the depth of each.

What are some of your September goals? What do you want to achieve and how do you plan on achieving them? Let me know in the comments below!

September Goals

Well, Hello There…

So, it’s been a hot minute since I actually updated on a blog or like even wrote for a blog. And I’ll take a moment to say this: it’s weird. It’s really weird knowing that what I’m writing will eventually be out in the public eye again, and knowing that either people are going to love it or they are going to hate it. But here I am, writing this blog post like it hasn’t been foreverrrrrrrrrr.

Let’s talk about the elephant in room: I’m not on my original blog anymore! If your an OG follower then you probably know what I’m talking about. And if you’re new, well I’ll do a little explaining for y’all. Basically, at one point I had a blog named: Love, Megan Anne – and wait I know, this is the same name, but here’s the thing: I had my own domain, so it wasn’t, it was simply Now for a long time, I really did enjoy blogging on there and I wish that I still could. Now, I do own the domain but I haven’t been able to get any sort of hosting (blogging terms, what can I tell ya?) because of how costly it really is.

Now, back in 2017, I did try to set up a goal that I wouldn’t keep my blog running if I wasn’t making any money. But I’ll be honest, I couldn’t bring myself to stop all the different things that went along with. It was my baby and I loved it so much, I had literally put so much time, energy, and effort into it. So 2017 came and went, and I never could make any money. So in 2018, I made a similar goal. But 2018 was honestly a weird year for me.

I don’t want to say that I was depressed because I don’t believe that I was, but I wasn’t in a good place. Something I have talked about before is that I do get really bad anxiety when it comes to finances, not handling them but how am I going to handle them. Thankfully I did end up getting a new job and that is honestly the only reason I got out of that rut.

With that being said, I’ve still played the game of going back and forth. Do I want to get back into and start sharing as much as I was? Or do I take a step back and not share? I still haven’t figured out what the answer to that question is. I don’t know how much I do what to share, and how much I don’t want to share. I still really enjoy sharing my life, but I’m older now and to some extent, I don’t know how much I want to share. I could be, and probably am, overthinking it. Which is like my thing, honestly.

Anyways, the real point of this to say, hi. I want to get back into this and I want to start blogging again. Eventually I will get my OG blog back to this one but for now, I’m going to basically be starting new. Which, isn’t really an awful thing. I do plan to get back to youtube as well, with everything that is happening in my life, I want to not only share it but also have it to look back on. I think I’m finally at a place of wanting to share again.

So hi, I hope you stick around and I hope that you enjoy what is to come!

Love, Megan Anne
